Curved tonneau construction in platinum, designed for precision and ergonomic refinement.
Patek Philippe Gondolo 5098P-001 Platinum Tonneau Watch
The Gondolo 5098P-001 shifts away from strict rectangular lines into a tonneau form that follows the wrist naturally. Crafted in platinum, the case measures approximately 42 x 32 mm with a curved profile that enhances wearability. The dial integrates a small seconds display at 6 o’clock, supported by the manually wound Caliber 25-21 REC PS, delivering consistent performance with a 44 hour reserve.
This is a more sculptural interpretation of Gondolo design. It balances weight, curvature, and mechanical precision in a way that feels engineered rather than styled.

Reference distinction: The 5098P-001 is specifically the platinum version. Patek Philippe states that the 5098P was directly inspired by a historic 1925 Chronometro Gondolo and that its cambered case, crystal and display back reproduce the distinctive tonneau curvature.
